I'm a 51-year-old Alberta, Canada guy who really loves the outdoors. I share over 30 years of lessons, some learned the hard way. I'm into long-distance wilderness hiking, canoeing and general outdoor pursuits. I practice survival skills and I like to be self sufficient. I post videos of my adventures. I have a unique style of documenting and narrating my solo trips. I also love music, so I often incorporate it in some of my videos. My favorite wilderness area is Jasper National Park, with its 1000+ km of back-country trails. I tend to do less popular hikes because I like to get away from people. I often hike with my wife and our three sons, sometimes as a large unit, and sometimes with only part of the family. I have a daughter, but she has never been on an overnight hike with us. I also hike with my faithful dog, Tikka, a 6-year old female Border Collie / Bluetick Coonhound mix. I also post "how-to" videos on outdoor skills, including guns and hunting.
