Epic Challenges is a YouTube channel set up by James Heptonstall and Noel Carroll, friends who met at The University of Birmingham athletics club with a mutual interest in running and who are both up for a challenge! James and Noel grabbed global attention when they filmed themselves in a foot race against the London Underground in their video ‘Race The Tube’. They decided to address an age old grumble from commuters – would it really be faster running across London than it would be getting the tube? So they raced against the Circle Line, between Mansion House and Cannon Street, as well as trying the longer journey between Moorgate and St. James Park, and on both occasions man power conquered the world’s first underground system. These videos were the spark that had subscribers and followers asking for more; the duo has not disappointed and continues to develop new and exciting content for their growing audience.
