Kent has taught jazz piano at Berklee College of Music, the Hartford Conservatory, Hartt College, Trinity College, and Summer Keys in Maine. He has played in clubs and concerts with jazz notables Jackie McLean, Kenny Burrell, Phil Woods, Chet Baker, Zoot Sims, Clark Terry, Cassandra Wilson , & many others. He resides in Waterford, CT. and has written a jazz course book: Jazz Piano: Methods and Songbook for Professional Playing, http://www.kenthewitt.com/ "My only equipment is a Canon Power shot S95 camera which records the video and sound and I'm downloading to Windows Movie Maker, where I do the editing. That's it...very simple." Intro music is from my CDs. For the 2 acoustic pianos I use on my videos, I have a 1905 rebuilt Mason and Hamlin Model AA, 6' grand piano and a 1972 Yamaha U1 Upright built in Japan.
